Social Work Ecomap

This Social Work Ecomap depicts a person's most important relationships with community resources (people, groups, and organizations/institutions) and how they positively or negatively impact that individual. Dr. Ann Hartman created this assessment tool as she did a similar genogram. This Social Work Ecomap is used to chart the ecology of a client's family and the quality of their personal and social relationships. Within these connections, areas of dysfunction and hardship are identified, allowing the social worker to assist the client by developing and implementing appropriate interventions to address these deficiencies.
