Overview

While prowling the Pacific Ocean for a mysterious sea creature, French naturalist Dr.Pierre Aronnax instead finds the Nautilus, a submarine commanded by the mysterious Captain Nemo. Aronnax boards the Nautilus, and what begins as an underwater pleasure cruise turns into a prison he'd risk everything to escape.

JULES VERNE 1828-1905

Born in Nantes, France, Verne originally trained as a lawyer but threw himself into Parisian literary society in his 20s. By incorporating the technological advances of the Industrial Revolution into fiction, he fashioned a new type of storytelling and inspired the science fiction genre.
