Uber Data Flow Diagram

A Uber Data Flow Diagram depicts how a system processes data regarding inputs and outputs. Its focus, as the name implies, is on the flow of information, where data comes from, and how it is stored. Data flow diagrams became popular in software development in the 1970s. They were first described in Larry Constantine and Ed Yourdon's classic Structured Design text. Before UML diagrams, Yourdon and Coad's Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) was a method of visualizing software systems. As shown in Uber Data Flow, there are essentially two types of notations for data flow diagrams (Yourdon & Coad or Gane & Sarson) that define different visual representations for processes, data stores, data flow, and external entities.
