Hubs and switchs

Hubs and switches are both networking devices used to connect multiple devices within a local area network (LAN). A hub is a basic networking device that operates at the physical layer of the OSI model. It receives data packets from one device and broadcasts them to all other devices connected to the hub. A switch, on the other hand, operates at the data link layer of the OSI model and is more advanced than a hub. It can intelligently forward data packets only to the specific device for which the data is intended, based on the device's MAC address.
