Planning and applying health and drug policies, Selection of essential drugs, Distributing drugs , Inspection, Registration, approval and quality control .

The pharmacist may hold a position in:

DRUG PROMOTION

1) Dispense medication to in-patients and prepare sterile solutions and admixture for injection, 2) Advise patients and provide direct patient care, 3) Monitor drug regimens and evaluate drug use, 4) Take part in the analysis of drugs & in the planning of clinical trials.

1. Provide distribution of prescribed drug products 2. Give advice and may suggest OTC drugs. 3. Monitor drug utilization and control drugs with potential for abuse or misuse. 4. Compound prescriptions 5. Provide pharmaceutical care services 6. Maximize the intended benefits of drug therapy and minimizing the unintended side effects and adverse reactions.

1. Manufacture of generic products 2. Distribute drugs to military areas and hospitals 3. Dispense drugs to personnel working in the army 4. Prepare products / purify water during emergency

Inform and educate woman about the use of contraceptive pills

Inform and educate people about the use of other methods for contraception

Advise and educate mothers especially in rural area about the importence of child care.

1. Optimizing of drug therapy. 2. Promoting the rational use of drug 3. Promoting ways to reduce drug abuse. 4. Drug storage and stability
