Measurement is a basic discipline in physics and an important tool for people to understand nature and conduct scientific research. Measurement includes two types: direct measurement and indirect measurement. Direct measurement refers to the use of measuring instruments to directly measure the physical quantity being measured, such as using a ruler to measure length and using a balance to measure mass. Indirect measurement refers to calculating the physical quantity to be measured by measuring other physical quantities, such as calculating the area of a circle by measuring the circumference and diameter of the circle.
