DNA リガーゼは、DNA 鎖の 3'-OH 末端と隣接する DNA 鎖の 5'-P 末端の間のホスホジエステル結合の形成を触媒し、それによって隣接する DNA 断片を結合して鎖を完成させ、反応で ATP を消費します。
