Treatments

shock to the heart (cardioversion), and
catheterbased procedures (ablation) can help
slow the heart
If patient is asymptomatic seek expert
consultation
If patient is symptomatic
Try vagal meanuevers
Carotid massage
Cardioversion 0.5 Joules/Kg
Adenosine 6mg, 12mg, 12mg
Transport for expert consultation

Rate: Fast (150250 bpm)
P Wave: Merged with T wave
PR Interval: Normal (0.12 sec)
QRS: Normal (.10 sec)
Notes: PR interval can be difficult to measure
