Anna Karenina novel is tragedy-based novel. Leo Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina was released in sections between 1875 and 1877 and is regarded as one of the greatest works of global literature. The story revolves around Anna, Aleksey Karenin's wife, having an affair with Count Vronsky, a young bachelor. Karenin's discovery of the affair only makes him worried about. Anna resolves to keep her private life private for the sake of her husband and young kid, but she is eventually pregnant by Vronsky. Anna and the child travel with Vronsky to Italy and subsequently to his Russian estate once the child is born. She starts making shady visits to see her elder child and becomes increasingly enraged with Vronsky, eventually accusing him of being adulterous. She rushes to the railway station, buys a ticket, and then throws herself in front of approaching train out of desperation. A parallel love story featuring Kitty and Levin's rocky courtship and happy marriage provides a vivid backdrop to the tragedy and is supposed to resemble Tolstoy's own marital experience. The tragic doom that hangs over Anna and Vronsky's adulterous love has an inevitability to it. The epigraph of the novel and the story's leitmotif is "Vengeance is mine, I will repay." Anna pays the price not so much for breaking the moral code.
