Parts of The Nervous System Concept Map

This concept map of nervous system parts depicts various parts of the nervous system. The nervous system is extremely complex but can be divided into two very general sections. The first is the Central Nervous System (CNS). The CNS is made up of your brain and spinal cord. The skull and vertebrae house the brain and spinal cord. These bones protect your CNS in the event of an accident. The other nervous system component is the Peripheral Nervous System. The PNS is primarily composed of nerves connecting to and from the CNS. However, unlike the CNS, the PNS has no bony protection.
