Ecomap

Ecomap is a client assessment tool that people in various professions commonly use. Ecomaps are one visual tool that provides useful information about a person and their connections to the outside world. A counselor or medical personnel typically fill out these visual tools to better understand the individual in question. Hartman created this system for the first time in 1975 to depict the ecological design that encompasses society.Unlike genograms, ecomaps can tell who a child or young person considers important, who they have close relationships with, or how they perceive the adults around them.
