project scope management

Project scope management includes a series of processes required to successfully complete a project to ensure that the project contains and only contains the work that must be completed for the project. Scope management begins with defining and controlling what is and is not included in the project. Usually includes developing a project scope management plan to specify how the scope will be defined, tested, controlled, creating and defining the work breakdown structure (WBS); creating the work breakdown structure (WBS), and preparing a detailed project scope statement as a basis for future project decisions The basics; breaking down the project's main deliverables and project work into smaller, more manageable parts; the second step is scope confirmation and formal acceptance of the project scope that is intended to be completed; the last thing to consider is controlling changes to the project scope.
