MindMap Gallery Equilibrium constant expression
The Law of Mass Action states that the rate of a chemical reaction is proportional to the product of the concentrations of the reactants. At equilibrium, the ratio of the product concentrations to the reactant concentrations (each raised to the power of their stoichiometric coefficients) is a constant, known as the equilibrium constant (K). The expression for K is written as the product of the concentrations of the products divided by the product of the concentrations of the reactants, each raised to the power of their stoichiometric coefficients.
