Working principle of battery

The working principle of a battery is based on an electrochemical cell, which converts chemical energy into electrical energy through redox reactions. The anode and cathode are where oxidation and reduction occur, respectively. The electrolyte conducts ions between the electrodes, enabling the circuit. The separator prevents direct contact between the electrodes, preventing short circuits. Charging and discharging are reversible processes where energy is stored and released, respectively.
