The function of butadiene

Butadiene is an important organic chemical raw material mainly used for synthesizing rubber, resins, and fibers. It is the primary raw material for manufacturing cis-polybutadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, and polybutadiene rubber, which are widely used in automotive tires, conveyor belts, rubber shoes, and seals. Butadiene is also used to produce synthetic resins such as polystyrene-butadiene copolymer (SBR) and adiponitrile, a raw material for nylon-66 synthetic fibers. With the continuous development of new energy and environmental protection industries, butadiene's applications in high-performance elastomers, environmentally friendly coatings, and biodegradable materials are also becoming increasingly widespread.
