MindMap Gallery The regenerative medicine potential of cardiac stem cells
Cardiac stem cells exhibit great potential in regenerative medicine. Through the reprogramming of cardiac fibroblasts, cells with cardiac stem cell characteristics can be obtained. These cells play a crucial role in myocardial injury repair by promoting cardiomyocyte regeneration and angiogenesis, effectively improving cardiac function. After cardiac stem cell transplantation, left ventricular ejection fraction significantly increases, and heart size gradually returns to normal. Despite progress in clinical trials of cardiac stem cells in the treatment of heart failure, challenges such as low cell survival rates and rejection after transplantation remain.
