MindMap Gallery Cryopreservation and Resuscitation Methods for Cell Lines
Cryopreservation and resuscitation methods for cell lines involve four major steps: preparation, freezing, resuscitation, and quality control. Firstly, cell lines with good growth status are selected and handled under sterile conditions. Subsequently, the cells are frozen gradually using a medium containing serum and cryoprotectants, reaching -80°C before being transferred to liquid nitrogen for long-term storage. During resuscitation, the frozen vial is thawed quickly and the cells are added to preheated medium, gradually returning to normal culture conditions. Finally, the resuscitated cells undergo quality control tests, including viability, morphology, and proliferation capacity assessments.
