MindMap Gallery Food additive: production method of xylitol
In the production of xylitol, biomass raw materials such as corn cobs and sugarcane bagasse are utilized. These are hydrolyzed to xylose, which is then fermented to produce xylitol. Purification follows through distillation or ion exchange, and xylitol is separated by crystallization. Finally, vacuum drying or spray drying is employed to convert xylitol into powder, which is then sealed in moisture-proof packaging to maintain quality.
