MindMap Gallery Food additive: Preparation method of ferric oxide
The preparation method of food-grade ferric oxide involves raw material selection, dissolution and oxidation, precipitate generation, washing and drying, and calcination process. Iron-containing minerals or scrap iron filings are used as raw materials, dissolved in acid, and oxidized with an oxidant to form ferric ions. The solution's pH is adjusted to generate iron hydroxide precipitate, which is then filtered, washed to remove impurities, and dried. Finally, the dried iron hydroxide is calcined at high temperature to obtain ferric oxide that meets food-grade requirements.
