MindMap Gallery Introduction to Ethanol
Ethanol, also known as alcohol or ethyl alcohol, is a colorless liquid with a distinctive odor and is miscible with water in any proportion. It is widely used as a beverage alcohol in daily life and is also an important solvent, disinfectant, and source of fuel ethanol. Ethanol is mainly produced by fermenting sugar substances. As a renewable energy source, the use of ethanol helps reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels, but excessive use may also have negative environmental impacts, particularly on water quality.
