MindMap Gallery Application of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Forensic Medicine
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology has important applications in forensic medicine. By conducting metabolite analysis and drug detection on biological samples such as blood and tissue, critical information in cases can be revealed. Additionally, this technology is used for post-mortem chemistry analysis to help determine the type of toxin and the time since death. In body fluid analysis, NMR can accurately identify components in samples such as semen, blood, and urine. Combined with magnetic resonance imaging, it can also analyze the spatial distribution of biological samples, providing strong support for forensic identification.
