Soviet proletarian revolutionary writer, Soviet "excellent communist fighter"
Nikola Ostrovsky was born in a poor working family in Ukraine. He started his working career at the age of 12 and fought to surround the Soviets at the age of 14. Joined the Communist Youth League at the age of 15 and participated in the civil war to defend the Soviet regime.
In 1927, he was paralyzed and completed the first part of "How Iron Is Made" and "Born by the Storm" in 1929.

While attending Sverdlov's Correspondence University of Communism, he began to conceive "How Steel Is Tempered". This book was completed in three years after he endured his illness and completed it on the pathogenesis. The story is based on his personal experience.
Content Overview
The novel tells the life of Ostrovsky. He studied for only three years and was forced to give up school and work. After the outbreak of the October Revolution, he was only fourteen years old and volunteered to join the Red Army, participated in various battles, and trained to become a warrior as tough as steel.
