SSC
Secondary School Certificate
The Board came into existence on 1 January 1966 to regulate certain matters pertaining to secondary education in the state of Maharashtra, as "Maharashtra State Secondary Education Boards".
CURRICULUM
Prepares courses curriculum at secondary level.
A core subject comprises of three languages(Mother Tongue,National language and English)

Central Board of Secondary Education
The first education board to be set up in India was the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education in 1921, which was under the jurisdiction of Rajputana, Central India and Gwalior. In 1929, the government of India set up a joint Board named Board of High School and Intermediate Education. This included Ajmer, Merwara, Central India, and Gwalior. Later it was confined to Ajmer, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh. In 1962, it became the Central Board of Secondary Education.
CURRICULUM
The CBSE curriculum is based on the National Curriculum Framework 2005 and provides opportunities for students to achieve excellence in learning
The curriculum refers to the chapters and academic content which is taught to students in the school.
Basically, it is a planned set of education that includes course of study, subject wise content, pedagogical practices, and assessment guidelines.
Also, it includes the marking scheme and syllabus for practical exams.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum is designed in such a way that it balances academics and extra-curricular activities that encourage students to pursue the skill of their choice apart from academics.
English is considered as the recommended language of instruction with no exception. Literature is given equal importance with other subjects that encourage language development of the students. These days, literature is gaining back its popularity and being multilingual will certainly prove beneficial for the child in future.
The board also includes art education as a part of its curriculum which improves visual-spatial skills in the kids.

The International Baccalaureate (IB), formerly known as the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), is a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1968. It offers four educational programmes: the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme for students aged 15 to 19, the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16, and the IB Primary Years Programme for children aged 3 to 12. To teach these programmes, schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate.
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an English language based examination similar to GCSE and is recognized in the United Kingdom as being equivalent to the GCSE for the purposes of recognizing prior attainment. It was developed by University of Cambridge International Examinations.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, a private board designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986 (India), through the medium of English.The examination allows secure suitable representations of responsible schools (which are affiliated to it) in their states or territories. Private candidates are not permitted to appear for this examination.
