German historical figures

Germany has produced many notable historical figures. Martin Luther was a leader of the Protestant Reformation, whose Ninety-Five Theses sparked the wave of religious reform in Europe; Karl Marx was a philosopher and economist whose Marxist theory had a profound impact on modern social science; Friedrich Nietzsche was a renowned philosopher whose "Übermensch" (superman) philosophy had a significant influence on modern Western culture; Albert Einstein was an outstanding physicist whose theory of relativity revolutionized traditional physics and laid a solid foundation for the development of modern physics; however, Adolf Hitler, as the leader of Nazi Germany, initiated World War II, bringing great suffering to the world.
