VI. Betrothal period 1933 - 1934. Jesus helped her to climb the mountain of divine love. She tried to please him by consulting him in everything even reg her dress color and style. Childish, in truth helped her to live constantly in the company of Jesus. Living in the world like everyone else. He inspired to do all for him and made clear that the appearance was secondary. He judged everything by its inside. Nothing on the outside, everything within. that was the formula of hidden poverty which he applied to her soul.
He never asked her to convert her room into a convent cell. He wanted her to appear to live like everyone else but taught her to consider all that as nothing, nothing, nothing but to love him alone. He acted in this manner to detach her from everything around her, to abndon all to him in an unconditional interior donation. He gave back everything to her so that she could live hidden in him among others and like others. In this way he drew her to the "poverty of spiirt."
He permitted her to use whatever strictly necessary in antything and the rest was to be given to the needy. His order of priority for money was that "Spiritual assistance" came before "practical charity." She even spent the last panny in service of souls. In this way he taught her to understand poverty. He enabled her to put everything into the great flame of his love and so everything took on the color of fire.
viii. "I need saints in the world." From the very beginning of her true life and even during the final two years leading up to it, he made very clear to her that he had burning desire for saints in the world. She noticed that the world around her was short of souls who were truly "given," meaning who have renounced everything for Jesus' sake and to bear witness him. She realized among those of us, men and women seemed to be working for the Lord but giving only tenfold when thousandfold was required.
VII. Live with Jesus in the midst of the world in secret. She battled aganist al lthe obstacles that formed a barrier to the fullness of love. It was primarily inside her that Jesus wanted of her a process of breaking, severing and tearing apart. This method helped her to keep the same life-style. Detaching from everything around me and "being in the world and not of the world."
God made her feel that many sinners and souls would see and know him and his church only by means of loving souls who brought them "whole Christ." Jesus insisted her to witness through total immolation and absolute generosity. "Christ on earth" was calling all Catholics to Catholic action. And Jesus constantly urged her to make souls understand the "perfection" of Catholic action.
