* Trade Related-aspect of Intellectual Property Rights. * It was initiated in 1995 and now signed all the members nations of WTO(164) but India signed it 2005. * Main aim of this agreement is to remove monopoly of any pharmaceutical company who manufactures medicine/drugs.For this, WTO said that after the completion of 20 yrs of any drugs which was governing by the individual pharmaceutical company so they will be introduced/released generic drugs. * India kept his 2 views infront of WTO during TRIPPS signed, that are given below: (1) Any drugs that India manufactures if it come under IPR, then India will pay (or you can punish India). (2) Any generic drugs that India manufactures so no trade barriers applicable to export.(Bcoz India exports 80% to Africa which are very cheap in cost.
