The four key elements that comprise the process of marketing a product or service are termed the four ps of marketing mix diagrams. They involve the marketing mix, a collection of tools a company uses to persuade customers to buy its product. Neil Borden, a Harvard University professor, was the person who conceptualized the 4ps of the marketing mix diagram. In one of his published articles titled "The Concept of the Marketing Mix," Borden introduced the concept in 1964, stating that many companies could use the framework to increase the likelihood of success when advertising their products.
