This document was created to aid in AOM and AOM’s client social media content caption creation process.
Start with Strategy: Always think about WHY you’re posting. What are you trying to achieve, and how will that post help you achieve it?
Apply the 20/60/20 Rule: Balance your content between strictly promotional (20%), just helpful (20%), and both helpful and promotional (60%). This will help build valuable relationships with your audience.
Consistency is Key: Your social media posts should remain consistent with your branding including tone of voice, brand colors and logo.
Recommendation: Before diving into this process document, it is highly recommended that one studies each specific client’s Emphatic Information to know what they require, their target audience, the type of message they want to send out in social media posts, etc.
How to create captions for Client content:
1. Check our list of content ideas. From here, curate social media posts that correspond to the percentage shown (whether it’s client content or content from other sources). Choose one that we can get from the client’s website or any of their social media network accounts. Copy and paste a part of that content or write using Jasper (preferably with AIDA or PAS framework).
2. If in need of CTAs, you can easily search for it in Google or refer to some articles below:

How to create captions for Other site topics:
I. Check out this Emphatic Information folder
II. Go to the specific client’s folder and check the content mix. From here, curate social media posts that correspond to the percentage shown (whether it’s client content or content from other sources). Use any items under Discuss on a specific client’s Emphatic Info document and add any website from 3rd party sources as keyword in searching for Other topics
