MindMap Gallery antibacterial resistance
Antimicrobial resistance is the ability of a microorganism (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites) to resist the effects of antimicrobial drugs. When microorganisms become resistant to an antimicrobial drug, it means the drug is no longer effective in treating infections caused by that microorganism. This can result in longer hospital stays, higher medical costs, and even death.
