Human Digestive System

The human digestive system is a complex biological system primarily responsible for ingesting, transporting, digesting, and absorbing nutrients from food. The system starts from the oral cavity, and through the chewing of teeth and the initial digestion of saliva, food enters the esophagus. After entering the stomach, stomach acid and peristalsis further decompose the food. Subsequently, food enters the small intestine, which is the primary site for digestion and absorption. Food is broken down into small molecules such as amino acids, glucose, and fatty acids, which are then absorbed into the bloodstream and transported to cells throughout the body for energy and growth needs. The large intestine is responsible for absorbing water and forming feces, which are ultimately excreted from the body. This is a mind map about human digestive systems. The map contains 6 main branches, namely: Introduction, Organizations of the digestive system, Digestive processes, Conclusion, Disorders of the digestive system, Regulation, and control. Each main branch has detailed descriptions of multiple sub branches. Suitable for people interested in human digestive systems.
