potentiometric analysis
definition
An analytical method to determine the composition and content of a substance based on its electrochemical properties
Classification
direct potentiometry
Directly measure the electromotive force of the original battery composed of the test solution to calculate the potential activity of the ion to be measured
potentiometric titration
A titration method that uses sudden changes in solution potential to indicate the end point.
working equipment
reference electrode
Electrode with constant potential value
calomel electrode
Saturated calomel electrode (SCE)
The potential value is fixed
Silver-silver chloride electrode
Indicating electrode
Its potential value changes with changes in the concentration of the ions to be measured.
PH glass electrode
Testing equipment
PH meter
Principle: When the temperature is constant, the electromotive force of the primary battery has a linear relationship with the pH of the solution being measured.
Use: Check - Clean - Install - Calibrate [Mode (PH/mv) - Endpoint Mode (√A/√) - Settings - Set the current temperature (not required for automatic) - Select the required buffer group (B3)] - Be Test solution - read - clean - pack.
Note: 1. The glass electrode bulb is fragile and must be operated carefully. 2. The calibration buffer solution generally uses a solution with pH=6.86 for the first time, and a buffer solution close to the pH of the measured solution for the second time.
