Glucolisis

Glycolysis features key intermediates: Glucose-6-phosphate (hexokinase product), Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate (PFK-1 regulation point), and Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (NADH-generation phase). These connect to the Krebs cycle where Oxaloacetate (OAA) forms Citrate, which allosterically regulates PFK-1. The pathway yields net 2ATP+2NADH, with cancer cells often overexpressing glycolytic enzymes (HK-2/PKM2) for Warburg effect.
