Don’t rush to plan the “best” path for your children, but give them the opportunity to explore and try different things.

Provide emotional support and guidance when children face challenges, rather than directly solving problems for them.

For example, you could ask, “What do you think is the hardest part of this?” “We can figure out a way to solve it together.”

As an entrepreneur, you may have proven your internal motivation (such as overcoming difficulties, pursuing goals). Children will learn how to drive themselves from your words and deeds.

When you talk about your work or interests, share “Why do I like this?” “How did I overcome the challenge?”

For example, participate in some fun activities with your children, or share your learning experience.

Internal drive is often closely related to a sense of purpose. Help children set small goals (such as learning a new skill, completing a project) and guide them to think “Why does this goal make sense to me?” “What can I learn from it?”

Let children understand that their efforts and achievements can have a positive impact on others or society (e.g., “Your drawings can bring happiness to others” and “Your efforts make the team more successful”).

This sense of meaning can enhance their internal motivation.

Children's internal motivation is also closely related to their emotional state. It is very important to establish a good parent-child relationship and give children emotional support.

While your successful experience may give you high expectations for your child, remember that each child has his own rhythm and interests.

Excessive pressure may cause anxiety to children, thereby weakening their internal motivation.
