Cold War Timeline

After World War II, there were constant conflicts between the United States and the Soviet Union over the issue of European reconstruction. The fear of communism in the United States has spread, and the Red Scare has risen. In 1949, the Soviet Union tested the first atomic bomb, marking the beginning of an arms race. In the same year, the Korean War broke out between communist North Korea and South Korea supported by the United States. In addition, the United States secretly participated in overthrowing the leaders of Iran and Guatemala, and the Cold War situation became increasingly tense.
