1-Today’s organizational design (structure) is divided into: team structure, matrix (project) structure, boundaryless structure, and learning structure. 2-Team structure refers to an organizational structure in which the entire organization is composed of working groups or work teams and completes work tasks. ① Advantages: High degree of employee participation and employee empowerment, with fewer barriers between functional areas. ② Disadvantages: There is no clear chain of command, and work groups or teams are under greater performance pressure. 3-Matrix (project) structure means: after the project ends, you return to the original department and continue to work on various projects. ① Advantages: It has a smooth and flexible organizational design and can quickly respond to changes in the external environment. ② Disadvantages: Complexity faced when assigning personnel; conflict between work tasks and members’ personalities. 4-Borderless structure means: not restricted by preset horizontal, vertical or external boundaries. Such as virtual organizations and network organizations. ① Advantages: Sharing knowledge within the entire organization is a sustainable source of competitive advantage. ② Disadvantages: Worried about losing advantages and unwilling to share, a large number of experienced employees are about to leave.
